Terms & Conditions of Rental
A firm booking will be made on receipt of a deposit to the value of 25% of the total rental due. The renter is then liable for payment of the balance of the total sum due. The remainder of balance due should be paid to Riga Holidays (credit card payments will be billed to 'HVS', cheques can be made payable to HVS) at least one week prior to arrival.
By agreeing to pay this booking fee, you agree that you are over 18 years of age and a responsible person who will be the person in charge of your party and you are deemed to have read and agreed these terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and all members of your party using the accommodation provided by Riga Holidays HVS.
1. In the event of a cancellation the deposit is refunded only if Riga Holidays is notified in writing via e-mail at least 14 days in advance of the letting period, an amount of £5.00 (7.20 Euros) will be deducted to cover administrative costs. The visitor is responsible for arrangements of appropriate holiday cancellation insurance and, for the avoidance of any doubt, Riga Holidays HVS provides no such insurance as part of the contract.
2. Only those persons listed on the booking form may occupy the booked accommodation. Sub-letting or assignation of the Let is strictly prohibited.
3. The person who pays the deposit will be responsible for ensuring that the conditions of let are adhered to, for any loss or damage to the accommodation and the contents, given fair wear and tear, however caused during the rental period.
4. The accommodation rented should be kept clean and in good condition and any breakage's reported immediately. If excessive cleaning, at the discretion of Riga Holidays, is required a cleaning charge of £25 (36 Euros) will be levied.
5. Personal property of visitors occupying accommodation is not the responsibility of Riga Holidays. Vehicles and personal property are left entirely at your own risk.
6. If for any reason the accommodation is not available to you on the dates booked due to events beyond our reasonable control, Riga Holidays will take reasonable steps to find alternative accommodation. If suitable accommodation is not available, then all sums paid by the visitor will be refunded in full. Riga Holidays will have no further liability to the visitor or any other party.
7. We reserve the right to refuse to hand over the accommodation to anyone who, in our opinion, is not suitable to take charge of the property - in any such case all money shall be refunded less a fee of £30.00 (43.20 Euros) and the Contract terminated without further liability. We also reserve the right to terminate the Contract at any time or remove any person or persons due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to property or causing or likely to cause annoyance or offence to other guests and neighbours. In such a case there would be no refund.
The properties let by Riga Holidays are to be used for the purposes of a holiday let. The booking agreement confers a right to occupy the accommodation for the agreed period only.
